Sun Valley

Use the Idaho Smoky Mountain Lodge as a base camp for your helicopter assisted ski touring adventure. On your first day, the helicopter takes your group and guides to a remote peak. At the end of a day of climbing and skiing, the helicopter picks you up and delivers you to a fine home cooked meal at the Lodge. After dinner, enjoy a soak in the hot tub under the stars or bake aching muscles in the sauna. In the morning, after a hearty breakfast, an early helicopter departure takes you deep into the remote Smoky Mountains, where few have ski toured. Once again at day’s end the helicopter swoops in to ferry you back to the comfort of the Lodge. The last day the helicopter ferries you closer to Sun Valley, so that you can easily ski to the awaiting van shuttle. Communication with the outside world includes Sun Valley Helicopter Ski Guides radio network, satellite phone and Internet access.

Day 1: Helicopter pick-up from Sun Valley to the 1st Tour with drop-off at the ISML at the end of the day.

Day 2: Helicopter lift from ISML to the 2nd Tour and drop-off at the ISML at the end of the day.

Day 3: Helicopter lift from ISML to the 3rd Tour. Ski tour to the road with vehicle pick-up.
